Sun. Sand. Sea Adventure | Isla Verde, Batangas

Batangas is filled with beaches and one of the nearest places to go if you want to escape the busy city of Manila. One of the hidden places in Batangas is Isla Verde that is yet to be discovered. It is still isolated and not yet exploited. This island is also situated near the island of Mindoro.

There are 6 villages in Isla Verde: San Agustin East, San Agustin West, San Agapito, San Andres, San Antonio, and Liponpon.

How to get there + Expenses:
❤ Bus fare: Buendia-Batangas - 157php
❤ Jeepney fare: 28php - 2 rides going to Batangas City Proper (12php) then another jeep going to Tabangao Port - 16php (or alternatively rent a tricycle going to Tabangao port for 300 pesos, 30-45mins ride)
❤ Boat: 100php (1-2hours boat ride)
Expenses on food and lodging may differ depends on the resort.

Make sure to leave Manila early around 4:00-5:00am as there is only 1 boat trip going to Isla Verde and will be leaving the port at around 9am-9:30am. The trip back to Tabangao port is as early as 3am once a day.

We rented a kubo at Engracio's Camp for 1,280php. The room is good for 4pax with own CR. Unfortunately, we didn't bring food to cook so we just ordered from our transient. Meals costs 350php for 2pax. We could have saved money if we bought our own food.

Tips:
❤ Bring extra cash as there are no ATMs there
❤ Bring your own food to cook as there are limited stores around the area. The island is isolated so food are a bit expensive there.
❤ Electricity is within 6pm to 6am only so make sure you have your powerbanks to charge your gadgets.

It is not a white sand beach so don't expect too much. The shore is also filled with little rocks so you might want to bring aqua shoes or better slippers. Although not a white sand beach, you will literally fall in love with the crystal clear green water ❤
